Elegant Cartouche Adinkra Earrings
For this collection, we were inspired by two african queens: Nefertiti of Egypt and Pokou of Ghana. Two queens that have empowered women in Africa and left a great legacy. The cultural elements from those countries that inspired the collection are, the cartouches from Egypt and the adinkra symbols from Ghana. These elements were combined to create a beautiful, contemporary and unique design which is timeless.
We believe that many african cultures are influenced by Ancient Egypt. That’s why we have decided to combine the two elements and create the cartouche Adinkra. Cartouches are used to write the Pharaohs’ names to protect them. By including adinkra symbols in the cartouche, we protect the symbols meaningful to you.
