The cacao for this chocolate comes from the Zorzal Reserve. This reserve is the first reserve in the Dominican Republic created to conserve the wintering habitat of the Bicknell Thrush – a migratory endangered songbird from New England. It is located in the province of Duarte in the north-central part of the Dominican Republic.
