Vendor Biography

I am originally from an Akan tribe in Ghana, West Africa and have always loved and embraced the richness of Akan culture. One way in which we represent the wealth of our culture is through Adinkra symbols.

Adinkra symbols are visual representations of proverbs, concepts and wisdom of the Akan people of Ghana. They are often used and found on fabrics, jewellery, logos and even homes and are widely used across Ghana today.

By creating these notebooks with Adinkra symbols as the focus, I hope to not only share the beauty of the symbols and the culture it represents, but also to inspire people when using the notebooks, whether it be for journaling, life plans and even generating ideas.

I also hope the notebooks and the messages they convey can be shared between loved ones on any occasion.
